Why is this free?

Hi, I'm a resident here (south of 44), and a software developer. This is the kind of thing I love to build: genuinely fun and interesting to make - and it helps the community I live in. I pay for it all myself, and it's honestly not cheap to run, but I think it's worth it.

No big company, no investors - just one local resident. No ads, no tracking, and I never sell or share your data. If I ever do anything to cover costs, it'll be something tasteful and local - never third-party ad networks.
